Prepare Your OCI Photo & Signature
OCI applications may require two separate files: an applicant photograph and a signature (or thumb impression / blank page where applicable). PassportSelf helps you crop, resize and compress both to the configured upload specifications.

Applicant Photo
- Color photograph
- 2″ × 2″ / 51 mm × 51 mm
- Full face, front-facing, eyes open
- Head centered, from top of hair to bottom of chin
- Plain light-colored background with no distracting shadows.
- No distracting shadows
- Natural expression, full face, front-facing, eyes open, head centered — face presented from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin.
- Do not retouch or artificially enhance the photograph.
Applicant Signature
File name must contain alphanumeric characters only.
Letters A–Z and numbers 0–9 only — no spaces or special characters in the final filename.
If thumb impression is not possible, upload a blank page in the signature field.
PassportSelf automatically checks technical file properties (format, dimensions, file size). Visual requirements — background, expression, lighting — are confirmed by you with a checklist. Final acceptance is determined by the applicable government authority.
