Terms of Service

PassportSelf provides photo-, signature- and label-formatting tools that crop, position, and resize content you supply to the published technical dimensions of the document or format you select. We do not retouch, enhance, or alter the appearance of the person in a photograph.

The tools currently available on PassportSelf are free to use. Using them does not involve a purchase, does not create an account, and does not create a subscription. Files are generated in your browser and downloaded by you.

You may use the files PassportSelf generates for your own document applications. You are responsible for the content you upload, and you must have the right to use it.

You are responsible for making sure your photograph meets the non-technical requirements of the issuing agency (expression, background, lighting, glasses, head coverings, photo age, and similar). We format files to published technical dimensions; government acceptance is not guaranteed and final acceptance is determined by the issuing government agency.

PassportSelf previously offered paid passport-photo downloads. Terms and policies that applied to those historical purchases, including the Refund Policy, remain available for customers who completed a purchase while it was in effect.

Mandatory consumer rights remain applicable where required by law; nothing in these Terms overrides any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

PassportSelf is an independent photo-formatting service and is not affiliated with any government agency. We format photos according to the published technical requirements selected by the customer. Government agencies make the final decision regarding photo acceptance.
