PassportSelf started with a simple passport-photo tool and is growing into a collection of useful free online tools designed to solve everyday problems quickly.

What PassportSelf does

The passport photo maker helps you crop, size and position a photo you take yourself so it matches the published photo requirements for your document, then gives you a digital photo and a 4×6 print sheet containing multiple copies with cutting guides. Why it exists

Passport photos are a formatting problem, not a photography problem. Studios charge a premium for a photo any modern phone can take; the hard part is the sizing and positioning rules. The same is true of most of the small tasks these tools handle — the work is simple once someone has built the tool for it.

What it costs

The tools currently available on PassportSelf are free to use. There is no account, no subscription and no payment step — you preview your files and download them.

Our approach

Simple, useful, free, privacy-conscious — no unnecessary accounts and no unnecessary complexity. Your photo is processed on your device whenever possible. PassportSelf does not send your photo to AI services, does not use generative AI to modify your appearance, does not use your photo for training, and does not include photo content in analytics.
