Privacy Policy

Privacy first: your photo is processed on your device whenever possible.

Passport Self is designed so that your photograph never needs to leave your device. Cropping, resizing, and generating your downloads all happen in your browser. Your original photo is not uploaded to our servers, not sent to any AI service, not used to train anything, and never included in analytics.

To let your photo survive the trip to our payment provider and back, it is temporarily stored in your own browser's local storage (IndexedDB) — on your device only. You can remove it at any time by choosing "Start Another Photo" after downloading, or by clearing your browser storage.

We store minimal purchase records (payment reference, amount, document type, and an anonymous session identifier) so we can verify payments and process refunds. We also record anonymous funnel events (such as "started photo") to understand how the product is used — these never contain images or personal details.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. If you contact support, we store the message and email address you provide so we can respond.
